There are risks and costs to action. But they are far less than the long-range risks of comfortable inaction
Why did this need to happen?
Why can't my family get along?
Why is my best friend sick with a disease?
Why do I feel lonely?
Why does my family suffer?
These are questions we all ask when we are suffering and even when we are doubting. I asked some these 'why' questions before and probably you too.
Suffering & Pain
Why does suffering happen in this world?
The answer is sin.
If you read the story of Job, it is filled if suffering and pain. However, it was not God causing the pain, it was Satan.
God did not want us to suffer, but since Adam and Eve disobeyed his command we suffer from pain, regret, guilt, disease, and death. Most of the times we suffer because of our choices; not because God is causing us to suffer, but we are doing it to ourselves.
Sometimes we suffer because God wants us to learn from our trials, to become stronger, and to depend more on Him.
When I was in elementary school, life seemed happier and brighter. Now, that I am older, I realized this world we live in is dark and hard. But there is still hope.
God is the hope. He is what makes life worth living.
My Favorite Bible Verse
"but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint."
